Anterior Surface
The front-facing surface of the body.
Right Ventricle
Chamber of the heart that pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs.
Tricuspid Valve
Valve between the right atrium and right ventricle that prevents backflow.
Pulmonary Valve
Valve that allows blood to flow from the right ventricle into the pulmonary arteries.
Bicuspid Valve
Valve between the left atrium and left ventricle, also known as the mitral valve.
Aortic Valve
Valve that allows blood to flow from the left ventricle into the aorta.
Systemic Circulation
The part of the cardiovascular system that carries oxygenated blood away from the heart to body and returns deoxygenated blood back to the heart.
Pulmonary Circulation
The part of the cardiovascular system that carries deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs and returns oxygenated blood back to the heart.
Capillaries of Head and Upper Limbs
Tiny blood vessels where exchange of gases, nutrients, and wastes occurs.
Pulmonary Capillaries
Capillaries in the lungs where blood loses carbon dioxide and gains oxygen.
