What is speed in basic interface configuration?

How fast the connection will run.

What is duplex in basic interface configurations?

Half or full.

What do the speed and duplex have to do on both sides?

Both sides need to match.

What will be setup based on what admin gives?

IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS.

What is Port Bonding/Link Aggregation (LAG)?

Multiple interfaces act like on big interface.

What is Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP)?

Protocol that adds additional automation and management.

What is the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU)?

Maximum IP packets to transmit.

What does fragmentation do?

Fragmentation slows things down, due to having resending a packet if you lose a fragment.

What are jumbo frames?

Frames that increase ethernet frame size up to 9216 bytes of an MTU.

What is the benefit of jumbo frames?

Increase transfer efficiency.

What is the condition for jumbo frames being sent?

All devices have to support jumbo frames.
