Human Diversity
Also known as cultural diversity, it deals with the variety of human societies and cultures and examines their similarities and differences.
Cultural Globalization
Globalization means that people now cross borders to work, study, receive care, and live in other countries.
Cultural Competency
A set of attitudes, behaviors, and policies that enable effective interactions in a cross-cultural environment.
Bias
A real human characteristic that affects how individuals perceive others.
Assimilation
The process where individuals or groups adopt the cultural traits of another group.
Biculturalism
The ability to maintain two distinct cultures simultaneously.
Age Diversity
Variations in age among individuals, influencing perspectives and experiences.
Ethnicity
Shared cultural traits such as language, ancestry, and beliefs.
National Origin

Gender Identity

Values like individualism, efficiency, and competition dominant in U.S. culture.
Personal Achievement
The individual pursuit of success and accomplishment.
Empathy
The ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

Understanding the cultural backgrounds and practices of diverse individuals.
Stereotype
An oversimplified and generalized belief about a group of people.
Intercultural Communication
