BTS Run

JIMIN: Guys. We have a new student today.

KIM NAMJOON: (loudly) Whaaa-

JIMIN: Come in.

(SHA-LA-LA SOUNDS. MIN YOONJI enters dramatically and stands at the front of the class.

Kim Namjoon woos and claps.)

JIMIN: Please introduce yourself.

MIN YOONJI: My name is Min Yoonji.

KIM NAMJOON: Wow! So pretty! 

JIMIN: Please applaud. (Jimin starts to clap, leading to all the other students clapping. Jimin guides Min Yoonji to her seat as he goes to his own.) Please sit behind Jungkook. 

(As Min Yoonji goes to her seat, everyone is staring at her in awe)

KIM NAMJOON: (shaking his desk) Wow… How can she be so pretty…!

J-Hope: (quietly) Wow! So pretty!

JIMIN: Please take good care of her, guys.

(As Min Yoonji sits down, she flicks her hair. Kim Namjoon throws his chair to the side and moves his desk next to Min Yoonji.)

KIM NAMJOON: (as he approaches, with a voice crack): Hey, can I sit next to you? (Min Yoonji is uninterested. He pulls a chair from another table and sits anyway. He reads from a workbook.) “Adjective: a word that describes a person or a thing”. I love you! (He does a finger heart.) “To describe a certain movement or process”. I like you? (He does another finger heart.)

V: (seriously) Hey! Kim Namjoon! Go back to your seat. 

KIM NAMJOON: Alright… I’m sorry. (He slides his desk and chair back to his old spot. V brings his chair over to Min Yoonji.)

(buncha stuff happen)

J-HOPE: I’m an animal. (J-hope grabs eye drops and puts some in his eye to pretend to tear up.)

KIM NAMJOON: (worriedly, fully invested) Don’t cry.

J-HOPE: (continues reading through “tears”) “At the tip of a branch that shakes with existence, you bloom and fade without a name. I-” (J-Hope grabs a water bottle and opens it.) “I cry all night” (J-Hope pours some of the water onto his face and pretends to cry more.)

(V and Kim Namjoon become emotional too and cry along with him. Min Yoonji takes the water bottle from J-Hope)

V: The saddest thing is that he only has one pair of underwear.

J-HOPE: “My weeping becomes a waterfall that could-”

(Min Yoonji cuts J-HOPE off at “waterfall” with a splash of water from the water bottle.)

KIM NAMJOON: (sobbing) It’s a waterfall, a real waterfall.

(min yoonji does stuff)

MIN YOONJI: Come here! (Jimin confidently stands up and walks toward her desk. He reaches her desk) Just go straight past me. 

(Kim Namjoon chuckles.)

(jin and jimin)

JIN: It’s not. (He sits on J-Hope’s desk with one leg resting on Min Yoonji’s desk. He leans forward and says quietly) My name is Jin.

KIM NAMJOON: (in awe) You are so handsome.

(jin starts vocalizing)

(Jimin and Kim Namjoon react with “woah”s out of shock at Jin’s warmup.)

V: (shocked) Is he using his head voice?

(Jin makes the same sound again.)

(J-Hope, Kim Namjoon, Jimin, and V get closer to him in amazement.)

V: (drawing circles on the side of Jin’s face) The head voice that falls back?

(Jin slowly stands up as he revs up the sound 5 times until he fully stands and lets out the last big sound. The 4 who were amazed looked at him with even more intensity. Min Yoonji has fully covered her ears. Jungkook looks forward to the front of the class despite the chaos.)

KIM NAMJOON: (snapped back to reality, to the other guys) Guys, we can’t just sit and watch. (to Min Yoonji) I love you.

(J-Hope pours water over his face again.)

(In the chaos, Kim Namjoon goes to take a look at the classroom window.)

MIN YOONJI: (throwing a fit) So mean! So mean!

JIMIN: Yoonji-

KIM NAMJOON: Oh! (everyone turns to look at him) There’s a new student in the next room.

JIMIN: Really? Let’s go!

(All the guys leave in a hurry)
