Caesura

is a pause within a line of poetry that contributes to the rhythm of the line

Enjambment

occurs when a poetic phrase runs over from one line into the next without pause

End Rhyme

is the most common form of rhyme in poetry, wherein the rhyme are noted at the ends of poetic lines

Eye Rhyme

happens when words look alike but are pronounced different from one another

Feminine Rhyme

consists of a rhymed, stressed syllable followed by one or more unstressed syllable

Masculine Rhyme

describes the rhyming of single-syllable words, or multi-syllabic words wherein the final syllable is stressed

Internal Rhyme

places at least one of the rhymed words within a political line

Near Rhyme (slant rhyme)

where final words sounds are close (but not exact)
