purposive sampling
not considered a random sampling since the respondents are being selected based on the goal of the studies of the researcher
non-probability sampling
there are also sampling techniques that do not invovle random selection of data.
cluster sampling
wherein population is divided into clusters and then then are randomly selected.
stratified random sampling
divided into different divisions. the number of samples will be proportionately picked in each stratum that is why all division are represented in the samples
systematic random sampling
uses a list of all the elements in the population and then elements are being selcted based on the kth consistent intervals
simple random sampling
has an equal probability of being selected.
