A very large breed that is preferred by some breeders as meat producer.
The breed is white with black markings down the back, sides and in circles around the eyes.
Checkered Giant
One of the most popular fancy breeds, thought to have originated in Holland.
It has good meat properties, although on the small side. It has also been used for work in the laboratories.
There are eight different colors of the Dutch- black, blue, chocolate, tortoiseshell, pale gray, brown gray, steel gray and yellow.
Dutch
A fur breed, it is used for "mohair" production. It is one of the oldest known breeds of domestic rabbit, have been kept for its wool for many hundreds of years. It is the only breed from which wool for spinning can be obtained.
Angora rabbits are white with long wool growth. It requires more attention than other breeds, for it needs to be groomed to ensure that the coat does not matt.
English Angora
One of the oldest fancy breeds. Thus named on account of having bluish or lead-colored spots.
It is often used as a foster doe, having excellent maternal instinct
It carcass and its pelts are sometimes made attractive novelty furs.

New Zealand was imported into England during the post-war period and has become fairly popular as an exhibition animal. It has become the most popular breed for young meat production in most countries. It is also a useful laboratory animal.
It has very rapid growth characteristics, an excellent meat type with considerable fleshing of the hindquarters or back. It also has excellent breeding characteristics
