What are the three main branches of Christianity?
Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant.
What is Catholicism?
Branch of Christianity based in Rome and led by the pope.
What is the Orthodox Church?
Branch of Christianity that split from the Catholic church in 1054 CE and practiced in Eastern Europe.
What is Protestantism?
Branch of Christianity split from Catholicism and branched out into different denominations. They agree that the Bible is the only source of authority for Christians.
What do Christians believe about God?
There is only one God, God is the creator and sustainer of all that exists, God works throughout history and inspires people to do His will, people can have a relationship with God through prayer, God is spirit - neither male nor female but has qualities of both, God is holy, and Jesus is God’s son - the true representation of God on Earth.
