What does the driver do on ACTION LOAD X?
Check his sighting systems are functioning correctly.
Start main engine (if required).
Carry out HTT under control of the commander (if required).
What does the Commander on ACTION LOAD X?
Ensure the driver is in the driver's compartment with the driver's hatch closed.
Ensure there are no obstructions to the muzzles of all weapons.
Load smoke grenades if required.
Insert the laser key into the CCP and set to ON.
Set the Commanders Primary Sight (CPS) to independent (IND).
What does the gunner do on ACTION LOAD X?
On the GCH select MAIN.
Ensure that the gun junction box is set to NORMAL.
Report, "MRS-ing", and check/adjust the GAS using the MRS. Report "MRS
checked" when he has completed the task. These verbal reports will ensure that the crew are aware that the gunner is conducting this check.
Switch ON and adjust sight services as required.
Select low mag and either thermal or visual on the GPS depending on the
weather/lighting conditions.
What does the loader do ACTION LOAD X?
Set the loader's safety switch to SAFE.
Assist the commander to load smoke grenades if required (if loading smoke
grenade dischargers ensure that the radios are set to standby or off (HCDR). All ECM switched to OFF.
Ensure all natures of ammunition are stowed correctly.
Load the loader's machine gun.
Load the coaxial machine gun.
Load the main armament (see paragraph 9).
