Non-aqueous solutions
Capsules without water; beyond use date should be no later than 6 months or equal to the earliest expiration date of any active pharmaceutical ingredient.
Oral solutions
Beyond use date should be no later than 14 days from reconstitution date and should be controlled at temperature as indicated on the package label.
Topical solutions & semisolid formulations containing water
Beyond use date should be no later than 30 days.

Antibiotics, Antifungals, Antivirals
Finish all of this medication unless otherwise directed by prescriber.
Ampicillin, azithromycin, bisphosphonates, captopril, carafate, HIV medications
Take medication on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
Tetracycline, doxycycline, ciprofloxacin
Do not take dairy products, antacids, or iron preparations within 1 hour of this medication.
Sulfonamides, phenazopyridine, bisphosphonates
Medication should be taken with plenty of water.
Cefdinir (Omnicef), indomethacin (Indocin)
May cause discoloration of the urine or feces.
Metronidazole, sulfonylureas, NSAIDs
Do not drink alcoholic beverages with this medication.
Opioid analgesics, tramadol, anticonvulsants
May cause drowsiness; alcohol could intensify this effect; use caution when operating a car or dangerous machinery.
Film-coated tablets, slow-release tablets, enteric-coated tablets
Swallow whole.
Sublingual tablets, sublingual strips
Dissolve under the tongue.
Otic preparations
For the ear only.
Ophthalmic preparations
For the eyes only.
