Main Clause

Functions like an adjective and is often introduced by a relative pronoun.
Adverbial Clause
Functions like an adverb and can be classified by place, time, manner, etc.
Complement Clause
Another name for a noun clause because it typically complements the main verb.
Interrogative Conjunctions
W-words that introduce noun clauses, functioning as indirect questions.
Causal Conjunctions
Conjunctions that express a cause or reason, such as 'weil' or 'da'.
Verb Placement in Subordinate Clauses
In subordinate clauses, the finite verb is the final element.
Multiple Verbs in Clauses
When multiple verbs are present, the finite verb comes last, after infinitives or participles.
