Hi class, this is my presentation. This is a photo of psyche and cupid. the name of the statue is psyche revived by cupids kiss. The statue was created by Antonio Canova. The statue is made of marble.

Il measure cent cinquante-cinq centimètres de haut. la statue a été inspirée pa la mythologie grecque. selon la mythologie, psyche était une princess d’un beuté exceptionnelle.

It is 155 centimeters tall. The statue was inspired my greek mythology. According to mythology psyche was a very beautiful princess.

venus, la déesse de la beauté, était trés jalouse d’elle, donc Venus ordonné a son fils, cupidon, de punir la jeune fille. Mais cupidon tombe amoureux avec psyche. Des qu’il la vit et l’emmena dans un château.

Venus, the goddess of beauty, was very jealous of her, so Venus told her son , cupid, to punish the girl. But cupid fell in love with psyche. When he saw her he took her to a castle.

Il fit promettre à psyche de ne jamis regarder son visage ni de lui demander son nom, mais psyche rompit sa promesse et venus recouvrait leur relation.

He made psyche promise to never look at his face or ask for him name. but psyche broke her promise, and venus found out about their relationship.

pour le punir, venus l'envoya aux enferces chercher un potion. Psyche réussit sa mission, mais en ouvrant la fiole, elle tomba in animee

to punish her venus made her go to the underworld to get a potion. psyche was able to get the potion but when she opened the bottle she fell to the ground lifeless

heurusement, cupidon la ramena à la vie d’un baiser. c’est ce moment prévis que convoi choisi de représente. Je pense que cette statue est magnifique. Elle est élègant and romantic

luckily, cupid was able to bring her back to life with a kiss, this is the exact moment Canova chose to represent. I think this statue est magnificent. it is elegant and romantic.

aussi je pense que l’histoire de la statue est intressant. cette statue fait partie de plus de dix-mil œuvres conservées à l’intérieur de Louvre. C’est mon préféré

Also I think the story behind that statue is interesting. the statue is one of 10,000 statues inside the Louvre. It is my favorite
