What is an LDR?
Dependent on light intensity. In bright light the resistance falls and at night the resistance is higher.
(remember symbol)
Uses of LDR’s?
Outdoor night lights, burglar detectors.
What does the graph look like for an LDR for resistance and light intensity?
look it up.
What is a thermistor?
(remember symbol)
A temperature dependent resistor. If it is hot, then the resistance is less. If it is cold, the resistance increases.
Uses of thermistors
Temperature detectors
Graph for a thermistor for resistance and light intensity.
