Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
The integrated use of various technologies (mobile phones, telephones, computers, Internet, and other devices) and software to locate, save, send, and manipulate information.
World Wide Web (WWW)
An information system on the Internet that allows documents to be connected to other documents by hypertext links, enabling users to search for information by moving from one document to another.
Internet
A global system of interconnected computer networks that uses the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to communicate between networks and devices.
Hypertext links
Links that connect documents on the Web, enabling navigation from one document to another.
Tim Berners-Lee
British computer scientist who invented the World Wide Web in 1989.
Web browser
Software (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) that lets users navigate from one web page to another via hyperlinks.
Selfie
A photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically with a smartphone or webcam, uploaded to a social media site.
ICT Hub of Asia
The Philippines is dubbed the ICT Hub of Asia.
