Worldview
How a person interprets and understands the world; can be religious or non-religious and can be shaped and changed overtime in response to life experiences.
Sacred texts
Writings considered foundational and authoritative in a religion; e.g., the Bible.
Monotheism
The belief in one God; e.g., Christianity.
Polytheism
The belief in many gods; e.g., Hinduism.
Secularism
The belief that religion should be separate from society, government, and public life.
Humanism
The belief that humans are the highest source of knowledge, focusing on reason, ethics, and potential, often rejecting the belief of a Divine presence.
Atheism
The belief that God does not exist.
Agnosticism
The belief that human beings cannot know whether or not God exists.
Faith
to have complete trust and confidence in something or someone. It is the unquestioning belief in something that does not need to be proved. Eg. Christian faith
Spiritual
Describes something bigger than self; it is the search for something deeper and more meaningful in life.
