Guanine
A two-ringed nitrogenous base, called a purine, and is found in DNA and RNA. It pairs with Cytosine (G - C), and has a carboxyl group at the top of the larger ring.

Cytosine
A single-ringed nitrogenous base, known as a pyrimidine, found in DNA and RNA. It pairs with Guanine (C - G), and has one carboxyl group.

Thymine
A single-ringed nitrogenous base, classified as a pyrimidine, that is found only in DNA. It pairs with Adenine (T - A), and has one methyl group.

Adenine
A two-ringed nitrogenous base, classified as a purine, that is found in DNA and RNA. It pairs with Thymine (A - T) in DNA and with Uracil (A - U) in RNA.

Uracil
A single-ringed nitrogenous base, classified as a pyrimidine, that is found ONLY in RNA. It pairs with Adenine (U - A) in RNA.
