Recrystalise a sample of benzoic acid

Step 2

Add benzoic acid crystals and water to a conical flask

Step 3

Place on a hotplate

Step 4

Continue until it is dissolved

Step 5

Set up diagram 2 as shown

Step 6

Set up diagram 3 as shown

Set up diagram 4 as shown

Step 8

Wash the crystals with ice cold water

Step 9

Spread the damp filter paper containing crystals on a clock glass

Step 10

Let the crystals air dry
