Deferential diagnosis:

Respiratory infection - measles - Rubella - Malaria - Meningoencephalitis

Def of Dengue, the patient must present wih

acute febrill ilness + 2 or > of the following

• Headache

• retro-orbital pain

• Myalgia

• Arthralgia

• Rash

• Hemorrhagic manifestations

  • Leukopenia

Criteria for diagnosis of dengue

All the following must be present:

1. Fever

2. hemorrhagic tendecies:

3. Thrombocytopenia

4. Evidence of plasma leak

Ig in dengue infection

1ry infection: high IgM in acute phase, later IgG

2dry infection: high IgG, small rise in IgM

• Pediatric dengue vaccine
