Population Distribution
The arrangement of people across the earth's surface.
Population Density
The number of people living per unit of area, often expressed as people per square kilometer.
Arithmetic Density
The total population divided by the total land area.
Physiological Density
The number of people per unit area of arable land.
Agricultural Density
The ratio of the number of farmers to the amount of arable land.
Pull Factors
Positive conditions or attributes that encourage people to move to a specific area.
Push Factors
Negative conditions or attributes that drive people away from a particular area.
Site Factors
The physical characteristics of a place, such as its location and natural resources.
Situation Factors
The location of a place relative to other places and human activities.
Population Regions
Areas identified by high population concentrations; includes region examples like East Asia, South Asia, Europe, and North America.
