Symptoms of teenage rebellion
1. Not contagious
2. Wherever the boundary is placed, he deliberately breaks it
3. When corrected, he reacts like it is the fault of the person correcting him
4. Reacts to the correction that the teacher is picking on him
5. Wants to be an exception to the rules
6. Gives a false report of the authority figure
7. Teen has then succeeded into putting their parents also in a position of rebellion to the other authority in a child’s life
Remedies of teenage rebellion
1. Parents/teachers need to be aware that it can happen to their obedient teenager
2. Give the teenager lots of work responsibilities
3. Don’t change your policies. Not the time to make new striker policies
4. Parents and other authorities should not hear the reports they hear regarding discipline situations that put another authority figure in a bad light
5. A parent/teacher is wise not to trust their teenager
