Integers
The set of positive whole numbers, their opposites, and zero.
Positive Integer
An integer greater than zero.
Negative Integer
An integer less than zero.
Absolute Value
The distance a number is from zero on the number line, regardless of direction.
Proportion
An equation stating that two ratios are equal.
Unit Rate
A rate that has a denominator of 1.
CIRCUMFERENCE
The distance around a circle, calculated as C = 2πr or C = πd.
Area of Rectangle
A = length x width.
Surface Area
The sum of the areas of all the surfaces of a three-dimensional figure.
Volume
The amount of space occupied by a three-dimensional object, calculated as V = Bh.
Mean
The average of a set of numbers, found by dividing the sum of the values by the number of values.
Complementary Angles
Two angles whose measures add up to 90 degrees.
Supplementary Angles
Two angles whose measures add up to 180 degrees.
Rate
A ratio that compares two quantities measured in different units.
Probability
A measure of how likely an event is to occur, expressed as a ratio of favorable outcomes to total outcomes.
Experimental Probability
The probability of an event determined through actual experiments or observations.
Theoretical Probability
The probability of an event calculated based on possible outcomes.
Dependent Events
Two events where the outcome of one event affects the outcome of the second.
Independent Events
Two events where the outcome of one event does not affect the outcome of the second.
