What can nicotine poisoning look like in children?
Symptoms of nicotine poisoning in children can include nausea, vomiting, increased heart rate, agitation, seizures, and in severe cases, respiratory failure. It can occur from exposure to nicotine-containing products such as cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or nicotine gum.
The presentation in newborns with CNS HSV disease (ie, encephalitis) typically occurs in weeks 2-3 of life with
seizure and temporal lobe hemorrhage
