A traditional group was organized in Patrick's College.

It was Martin, Deirdre, Aoife and Seán in the group.

They would be practicing at lunch time and after school every Monday and Wednesday.

They enjoyed these sessions a lot.

The four of them were amazing musicians.

Deirdre and Seán played the fiddle, Aoife was on the tin whistle and Máirtín on the big whistle.

Mr Ó Riain was under magic by the music they had.

They were at school until five o'clock.

They had to learn a new piece and practice every week.

Hard work it was and it took a lot of time.

Deirdre was tired, exhausted,.. that night but she continued with the practice.

'Practice makes mastery ', she said to herself.

They entered the music competition of the county.

There were four traditional groups in competition with eachother.

The judge mentioned that they were all fabulous and that big work was done by them.

Believe it or not, the win was Patrick's College!

They succeeded at the Music Competition of the Province after that.

The place was black with people.

The competition was very close.

The students were nervous.

They gave the day to them.

They played at the concert of the winners that night at eight o'clock.

There was a big celebration for them in Patrick's College.

They played that night for teachers, teachers and the school community.

It was said that it was a historic win and a lot of praise was given to the group.

The principal gave thanks to everyone that gave a helping hand to them.
