Availability Heuristic
A mental shortcut that relies on immediate examples that come to a given person's mind when evaluating a specific topic, concept, method or decision.
Anchor and Adjustment Heuristic
A cognitive bias that occurs when people rely too heavily on an initial piece of information (the anchor) to make subsequent judgments or estimates.
Simulation Heuristic
A mental strategy or shortcut that individuals use to make decisions or judgments by imagining or simulating alternative scenarios or outcomes.
Representativeness Heuristic
A cognitive bias in which individuals assess the probability of an event by judging how similar it is to an existing mental prototype.
Cognitive Training
The process of improving cognitive skills through targeted exercises.
