Asyndeton
Figure of speech in which coordinating conjunctions are left out

Polysyndeton
repetition of conjunctions in close succession

Palilogia
is a figure of repetition, by which the same word is repeated twice or more, without intervening word in between the repetitive elements
Ex. Reputation, reputation, reputation! Oh, I have lost my reputation!
Alliteration
the repetition of usually initial consonant sounds in two or more neighboring words or syllables
Ex. The beautiful bouquet blossomed in the bright sun
Consonance
recurrence or repetition of consonants especially at the end of stressed syllables without the similar correspondence of vowels

an inverted relationship between the syntactic elements of parallel phrases

Parallelism
repeated syntactical (syntax) similarities introduced for rhetorical effect
ex. I like swimming, drawing, and playing.
Anastrophe
inversion of the usual syntactical order of words for rhetorical effect
ex. In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit.
Hyperbation
an inversion of the normal order of words, especially for the sake of emphasis, as in the sentence “this I must see.”.
ex. Into the box went the homework and onto the playground went the class.
Assonance
he same vowel sound repeats within a group of words
Ex. Hear the mellow wedding bells

figure of speech that involves the repetition of words derived from the same root
