Goal: Getting what you want to solely limit your suffering
One follows the rules because that’s how they avoid any suffering

Goal: Eudaimonia; deeply fulfilled + happy life
One follows the rules because they are the way to living the eudaimonia life
Natural Law Theory
an objective moral imprinted on humanity that directs humanity to God

One strictly follows the rules and avoids considering the consequences of following those rules in result
Utilitarianism
One determines right from wrong by focusing on the outcomes

Putting ourselves first; fixation on one’s own life and desires
wanting to be in the center of all things

Can repair relationship w/ God through reconciliation
