  1. Internet, speed + choice= people have greater opps for crime.

  2. People are taught to be selfish to acquire the dream rather than putting collective first. Live in time of individualisation + self-obsession (more inclined to commit crime due to consumerism)

  3. People more scared of global crime, thereofre more fearful of it = hate crimes + scapegoating
