Tehran Conference (1943): Roosevelt and Stalin agreed on creating an international organization.
Atlantic Charter (1941): Roosevelt and Churchill's statement of hope for a better future post-war
Yalta Conference (1945): Determined voting procedures and veto powers in the Security Council
Structure
Secretary General implements to Security Council (5 permanent and 10 non-permanent) + General Assembly: other parts - international court of justice, international criminal court + economic and social council
Significance

Encourages global cooperation to solve political, social, and economic problems.
Works toward equality, particularly for women, children, and minorities.
