Internalisation
Accepting the majority views as your own, the views are now your own too as you have accepted and internalised them.
Could happen in an unfamiliar situation where you don’t know what the ‘correct’ way to behave is.
Compliance
Going along with things even if you don’t agree with them, even if you don’t agree with the views you go along with the majority.
You do this to appear ‘normal’ and avoid exclusion or rejection from a group.
Identification
Confirming to what is expected of you in social roles. This means changing behaviours because you want to fit certain roles in society.
Could also be trying to imitate the behaviour of a role model.
