What is a Kenning?
A metaphorical compound word or phrase used especially in Old English and Old Norse poetry.

An implied or indirect reference to a person, place, thing, or idea of historical, cultural, literary, or political significance.

The occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words.
