Molar Mass
The mass of one mole of a substance, usually expressed in grams per mole (g/mol).
Moles
A measure of the amount of substance; one mole contains 6.022 x 10^23 particles.
Molarity
A concentration measure defined as the number of moles of solute divided by the volume of solution in liters.
Neutralization Reaction
A chemical reaction in which an acid and a base react to form water and a salt.
Limiting Reactant
The reactant in a chemical reaction that is consumed first, limiting the amount of product formed.
Stoichiometry
The calculation of reactants and products in chemical reactions based on balanced equations.
Net Ionic Equation
An equation that shows only the particles that participate in a reaction, omitting spectator ions.
