Meets up with stakeholders (doctors, employees, funders) to ask for their input.
We see these changes implemented in the end (removal of the waiting room, for instance).
Ep1 Ebola
A random child (from Liberia) is admitted to the Emergency Department, suspected of carrying Ebola.
After a report, they suspected that ISIS had sent one of their followers (the boy) infected with the Ebola virus (a terrorist attempt)
The child is labelled a terror suspect despite being tricked into going to America with no intention of doing such.
The child ends up getting better (after almost dying) and turns out he isn't carrying Ebola but the Lassa virus, a relief for Dr. Bloom, who thought she contracted it
Ep1 misdiagnosis
Dr. Kapoor is handling a patient (Patricia) and conducting a series of tests.
She was misdiagnosed with depression (being prescribed medication for it), leading to a misdiagnosis of Parkinson's (prescribed another medication).
The chain moves further with medication on top of medication
In the end, it turned out that her actual problem was her immune system fighting a tumor (that nobody could see).
She doesn't have much time (will die) because healing her would trigger a cardiac arrest and kill her
She is an illegal immigrant and wants to be back home with her family, but the risk is getting arrested.
In the end, she chooses to return to her family (with help from Dr. Max's connections) she is able to without being arrested.

Dr. Frome finds out that the boy has been taking multiple different medications and proposes that he stop taking all of them instead of adding another prescription.
They end up going to court, as if the boy stops taking all his prescribed pills, he will no longer be admitted to his school, as per the rules of the state.
This was due to an incident that happened in school, where the boy was seen out of context beating his schoolmate.
We find out later that his feelings have been made numb by the medication, and for all this time has unresolved issues in terms of blaming himself for his father's death (who had a heart attack)
His beating a fellow schoolmate was because he was provoked and bullied rather than a random lash out.
They end up winning the case, and the child can continue attending school without taking the medication.
Ep2 surgery and ritual
Floyd has a patient who needs to undergo a risky surgery; however, the patient requests that her family perform a protection ritual before she undergoes surgery.
The ritual requires a blade cutting through the person's skin and herbs being rubbed into it.
Seeing as there was a problem with the surgical department always having infection rates, Floyd refuses the request.
However, as they wheel the patient in for surgery, every time, the patient either faints or needs to be resuscitated, as if forces are wishing that she undergo the ritual.
After being convinced by Dr. Max and his colleagues, Floyd puts aside his personal beliefs and allows the patient to undergo the ritual under his watch.
This finally allows them to get the patient to surgery without any forces stopping her.
Floyd successfully performs the surgery and realizes that he has his own subconscious rituals; it's a matter of respecting the patient and putting their needs first above one's own biases.

The parents ask if there are any potential clinical trials she can participate in, to which Dr. Sharpe promptly states that there aren't any due to her young age
Dr. Sharpe suggests they should discuss palliative care options.
Dr. Sharpe makes the decision to be the one to tell Tianna about the cancer.
