Many people refuse to be parents at a young age due to the fear of poverty
Main Idea 1 (because baby essentials are quite expensive.)
Instead, they seem to devote more time to studying and working, which could possibly offer them a stable income.
If individuals were not in a good financial position, they would continue to postpone starting a family.
In addition, since youth enjoyment is usually championed among young adults, many would rather travel and see the world, learn about how people live in other places, and have interesting experiences than become parents at a young age.
If people decided to have kids at a young age, they would have to bring their children with them on vacations, which might be quite mentally exhausting because babies usually throw a tantrum.
There are several disadvantages of having children at a later age, one of which is a bigger generation gap.
Main Idea 2
Giving birth to your children early could narrow the gap between kids and parents
which help the adults more easily relate to the children’s concerns and communicate more effectively.
Additionally, starting a family when you are young means that your family might have longer time together and potentially to see grandchildren while still being relatively young and active.
However, it could be counterproductive if parents are not emotionally or mentally prepared for the responsibilities of parenthood which may lead to stress and poor decision-making.
Young couples are likely to have known each other for a shorter time, their bond might not be strong yet.
As a result, it makes co-parenting more difficult and increases the risk of separation.
