  • caused by bacteria chlamydia trachomatosis

can be passed on:

  • through vaginal and anal sex with infected person

  • a mother can pass it on to her foetus

  • 70% chance of passing unto neonatal and causing complications

symptoms can be asymptomatic

male symptoms:

  • utrithritis (inflmation of uthera) = yellow discahrge and burning sensation when urinating and ejaculating

  • epididmitis (inflammtion of epididymis) = pain and if both are infected can cause infertilitity

female symtpoms:

  • mostly asymptomatic

  • infertility, artheritis, ear infection

  • pelvis inflammatory diease = blockage at uterine tubes

treatment = antibiotics
