Hutchinsonian niche
An n-dimensional hypervolume where a species exists.
Dimensions
environmental conditions and resources needed for a population to persist.
Hypervolume
the multi-dimensional resources and the other species in the environment.
Niche
a species place and role in an ecosystem.
Fundamental niche
where a species can be found based on its physiology and free of species interactions.
Realized niche
a narrower range of the fundamental niche, limited by biotic interactions. Where you find the species.

The study of the interactions between living systems and their environments.
