Pronoun
is used instead of a noun or noun phrase.
Adjectives
The word that describes nouns.
Verb
The word that describes action.
Auxiliary Verbs
Are used to change another verb’s mood, voice or tense. (E.g: be, have, do)
Modal verbs
Are added to another verb to show capability, possibility, or necessity. (E.g: may, might, must, can, could, ought — etc)
Phrasal verbs
Phrases that act as a single verb, usually consisting of a verb and a preposition.
Adverbs
A word that describes an adjective, a verb, another adverb, or a sentence.
Prepositions
A word that tells you when or where something is in relation to something else.
Conjunctions
A word that’s used to connect clauses and sentences/words together.
Interjections
Sounds of feeling and words to describe pain, hurt, anger, or joy (e.g: “Ah?” “Ouch!”)
