What is the purpose of “mandatory instruction signs”?

What should a mandatory instruction signs include?
Runway designation
CAT I,II,III holding position
Runway-holding position
Road-holding position
“NO ENTRY”

What is the purpose of the “mandatory instruction markings”?
Provided on the surface of the pavement
Located:
Code A, B, C, D = Across the taxiway equally placed about the taxiway centerline & on the holding side of the runway-holding position markings
Code E, F = On both sides of the taxiway centerline marking & on the holding side of the runway-holding position markings.

What should the colour of the mandatory instruction signs and markings be?
Inscription = White
Background = Red
Appropriate border = White/black

What is the requirement for wind direction indicator?
Shape = A truncated cone made of fabric
Need to be visible from aircraft inflight or on the movement area
Clearly visible and understandable from a height of at least 300m
If single colour = white/orange
If 2 colours = orange-white, red-white, black-white
Need to have 5 alternate bands (first and last band must be darker colour)
Each band is about 3 knots


What are some requirements for “landing direction indicator”
Located in a conspicuous place on the aerodrome
In the form of a “T”
Shall be either white or orange
If used at night, it shall either be illuminated or outlined by white lights
