Color Spectrum
The range of colors that the human eye can see, arranged by increasing wavelength (or decreasing frequency).
Primary Colors
Basic colors that cannot be made from other colors; they are Red, Blue, and Yellow.
Secondary Colors
Colors created by mixing equal amounts of two adjacent primary colors.
Tertiary Colors
Colors created by mixing an equal amount of two adjacent primary and secondary colors.
Color Scheme
A combination of colors used in design projects, including fine art, interior design, and graphic design.
Analogous Color Scheme
A color scheme that uses colors next to each other on the color wheel.
Split Complementary Color Scheme
Uses a base color and the two colors on either side of its direct complement on the color wheel.
Triad Color Scheme
A color palette consisting of three colors that are equally spaced apart on the color wheel.
What are the primary colors?
