Ex:
ur prototype for "fruit" might be an apple because it embodies the typical characteristics of a fruit (a common, edible plant product)

Interpreting new experiences in terms of existing schemas.
Accommodation
Adapting current understandings to incorporate new information.
Creativity
The ability to produce novel and valuable ideas.
Convergent Thinking
A cognitive process that narrows the available options to determine the single best solution.
Ex:
Multiple-choice questions: Choosing the single correct answer from a list of options on an exam
Divergent Thinking
A cognitive process that expands the number of possible problem solutions.
Ex:
brainstorming multiple, creative uses for a common object like a paperclip
