Angle Measurement
The process of determining the size of an angle in degrees or radians.
Sexagesimal System
A numerical system based on 60, commonly used for measuring angles.
Radian
A unit of angular measure equal to the angle at the center of a circle subtended by an arc equal in length to the radius.
Degree
A unit of angular measurement, where one complete revolution is 360 degrees.
Central Angle
The angle whose vertex is at the center of a circle and whose sides are radii extending to the circumference.
Trigonometric Functions
Functions of an angle used in trigonometry, including sine, cosine, and tangent.
Quadrants
The four sections of the Cartesian coordinate system, where angles can have different signs for their sine, cosine, and tangent.
Trigonometric Ratios
Ratios of the lengths of sides of a right triangle, which include sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent.
Identity
An equation that is true for all values of the variable in the equation.
Conversion of Angle
The process of changing an angle measurement from degrees to radians or vice versa.
Inverse Trigonometric Functions
Functions that determine the angle given the value of a trigonometric ratio.
Sin, Cos, Tan
Basic trigonometric functions representing ratios in a right triangle: sine (opposite/hypotenuse), cosine (adjacent/hypotenuse), and tangent (opposite/adjacent).
