Significance of the Study
The purpose of the research and the benefits it will provide to society, the country, government, institutions, curriculum planners, and the research community; it also identifies the beneficiaries.
Beneficiaries
The groups that will directly gain from the study’s results, which should be specified explicitly in the paper.
Scope
Describes the study’s coverage: the concepts/variables, the number of subjects (population), and the timeline of the study.
Delimitations
Boundaries not included in the study; factors or variables excluded, such as limits on time frame or population.
Limitations
Potential constraints that may affect the study, including sample size, data availability or reliability, prior studies, and data collection instrument issues.
Sample Size
The number of subjects or observations included in the study, affecting data quality and the strength of detected relationships.
Data Collection Method
The approach used to gather data (e.g., surveys, interviews); limitations of the method or instrument can impact data quality.
Preexisting Data (Secondary Data)
Data that already exist prior to the study; relying on it may limit the researcher’s ability to clarify or expand findings.
Research Instrument
Tools used to collect data, such as questionnaires, interview guides, or tests.
What/Where/When/Why/Who/How (Scope & Delimitation Framework)
A framework to articulate scope and delimitation: What is studied, Where it occurs, When it happens, Why the study is conducted, Who is studied, and How the study is conducted.
Definition of Terms
An alphabetical list of important terms or acronyms defined for clarity, especially ambiguous terms or those used in a special way.
Timeline
The period during which the study is conducted and data collection takes place.
