Pertussis
An acute infection of the respiratory tract.
Usually begins as an ordinary cold, which in a typical case becomes increasingly severe.
On the 2nd week, it is intended by PAROXYSMS of COUGH ending to a characteristic WHOOP as the breath is drawn in.
Vomiting may follow spasm.
Cough may last for several weeks to 2-3 months

7-10 days not exceeding 21 days

MACROLIDE
May shorten the duration of the disease’s communicability and sometimes lessen the severity.
