Digestive System
A system in the human body responsible for breaking down food, consisting of several organs.
Periodic Table
A tabular arrangement of the elements, organized by increasing atomic number and grouped by similar chemical properties.
Sodium Chloride
A chemical compound formed from the elements sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl), commonly known as table salt.
Circulatory System
The system that circulates blood through the body, consisting of the heart, blood vessels, and blood.
Solar Cells
Devices that convert light energy from the Sun into electrical energy.
Micro-organism
A microscopic organism, which may exist in its single-celled form or in a colony of cells.
Producer
An organism that produces its own food through photosynthesis, such as plants.
Omnivore
An organism that eats both plants and animals.
Chemical Formula
A representation of a substance using symbols for its constituent elements.
Resistance (Ω)
A measure of the opposition to the flow of electric current in a circuit.
Current (A)
The flow of electric charge, measured in amperes.
Neutrons
Subatomic particles found in the nucleus of an atom, with no electric charge.
Gravitational Field Strength
The force of gravity per unit mass at a given point in space.
Terminal Velocity
The constant speed an object reaches when the force of gravity is balanced by the resistance of the medium through which it is falling.
Photosynthesis
The process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods with the help of chlorophyll.
Biodegradable
Materials that can be broken down by natural processes, such as decomposition.
Upthrust
The upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of an object immersed in it.
Element
A substance that cannot be broken down into simpler substances by chemical means.
Polymer
A large molecule made up of chains of repeating units, often derived from natural or synthetic sources.
Surface Area to Volume Ratio
A measure that compares the total surface area of an object to its volume, relevant in biological and physical processes.
Friction Force
The resistive force that opposes the motion of an object in contact with a surface.
Dilute Acid
An acid that has been mixed with water, reducing its concentration and strength.
Cleaning Liquid
A material used for cleaning surfaces, often containing agents that can kill bacteria.
