Axel overtemp is popped, melted, or missing
Brake wear indicator is broken, melted, or missing

Hot brakes procedure (6)
Notify aircrew by waving hand in front of face & pointing to afflicted brakes
Taxi aircraft to hot brake area OR 300ft away from aircraft/personnel
Stop aircraft completely with wind blowing towards brakes
Chock nose landing gear &* release brakes
Shutdown engines & remove aircrew, allow no one near hot brakes
Notify maintenance control and wait for fire department
Brake fire indicator (1)
Brakes are on fire
Brake fire procedures (4)
Stop aircraft
Chock nose landing gear and release brakes
Apply firefighting extinguishing agent by bouncing it off the ground in a sweeping motion
Notify maintenance and wait for fire department
Internal engine fire indicator (1)
Black smoke & flames shooting out of the exhaust
Internal engine fire procedure (4)
Notify aircrew with Lazy 8 and to shut down afflicted engine
Hand signal for wind milling & pointing to the afflicted engine for 5 minutes
If fire persists;
Tell aircrew to continue wind milling for 5 minutes
Proceed toward intake & spray firefighting agent off of the inboard side of the intake at a 45-degree angle
External engine fire indicator (1)
Black smoke & bubbling paint (Doors 53, 54, 64, 65, 68, 69)
External engine fire procedures (4)
Notify aircrew with Lazy 8 and pointing to the afflicted engine
If pilot is unable to shut down the engine…
Pull the canon plug & put the fuel shutoff valve to the closed position to shut down the engine & repeat for the other side
Open Door 65L/R or 69L/R in front of your face to protect you from the fire
Spray firefighting agent into the door
APU Fire indicators (1)
Black smoke & flames coming out of APU Intake/Exhaust (Doors 52/302)
APU Fire procedures (5); necessary APU spool down time before firefighting agent & why
Notify aircrew with Lazy 7 & point at APU
Wait 9-11 seconds for APU to spool down
If APU still does not spool down…
Enter the nose landing gear wheel well & hit the APU Shutdown Switch
If APU still does not spool down…
Proceed to Door 13L & pull the APU Prime circuit breaker
Wait for APU to spool down & spray Halon into Doors 52/302
Necessary APU spool down time: 9-11 seconds before firefighting to prevent explosion due to rapid cooling
No brakes indicator (1)
Tail-hook is down & all lights are on
