Origin: Lumbar plexus( l2-l4)
Insertion: medial compartment of the thigh

Origin: descends in medial direction

Origin: deep femoral artery
Insertions: anterior to the proximal femur
Femoral Vien
Origin: Continuation of the popliteal vein
Insertion: ascends posterolateral to the femoral artery and continues as the external iliac vein
Great Saphenous Vein
Origin: Union of the dorsal venous arch of the foot and the dorsal veins of great toe
insertion: drain into the femoral vein
