Angle
A figure formed by two rays, called the sides of the angle, sharing a common endpoint.
Acute Angle
An angle that measures less than 90 degrees.
Obtuse Angle
An angle that measures more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees.
Right Angle
An angle that measures exactly 90 degrees.
Complementary Angles
Two angles that add up to 90 degrees.
Supplementary Angles
Two angles that add up to 180 degrees.
Parallel Lines
Lines in a plane that never meet and are always the same distance apart.
Perpendicular Lines
Lines that intersect at a right angle (90 degrees).
Triangle
A three-sided polygon.
Pythagorean Theorem
In a right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides: a^2 + b^2 = c^2.
