Act 1 Scene 1
Prologue sets up the play uses dramatic irony to tell Juliet and romeo will die at the end implying that their is no free will.
The families already fight and the prince tells lord Montague and lord Capulet that if this happens again both lives will be forfeited
Act 1 Scene two
Lord capulet wants to reconcile with Montague as he has other business to deal with , being Juliets and Paris marriage. Romeo is being dramatic as Rosalyn does not like him. Lord capulet is hesitant of the marriage of Juliet and Paris. Lord capulet sends invitation for the ball but his servant can’t read so Benvolio and Mercutio do it and invite themselves
Act 1 Scene three
lady capulet kicks nurse out as she needs to talk with Juliet but immediately recalls her. She tens starts talking about her childhood and age. she ask Juliet if she wants to be married but she is evasive and she does not say yes or no. servants arrive and say guests have come breaking the discussion.
Act 1 scene four
Romeo, Benvolio and Mercutio enter the ball masked. Benevolio and Mercutio are full of enthusiasm to go in the masquerade but romeo not. romeo has a strong sense of pending doom. Romeo voices his unease.
Act 1 scene five
starts with dancing capulet is a jovial host. romeo overwhelmed by Juliet’s beauty but Tybalt sees romeo and starts going to him but lord capulet stops him. Romeo and Juliet are together but at some point they have to go back to life as the nurse tells Romeo can’t be with Juliet and same with Juliet.
Mercutio
.He is Romeo's witty and loyal friend, known for his humor and quick wit. He meets a tragic end.
Romeo
Known for his romantic sometimes even for his obsession, nature and tragic fate.
Juliet
She is a young Capulet who falls in love with Romeo, a Montague, leading to a tragic end for both lovers.
Benevolio
known for being peaceful and trying to prevent conflicts between the Montagues and Capulets.
Tybalt
Known for his hot temper and loyalty to his family. Engages in a fatal duel with Romeo.
Lord montague
Romeo's father and head of the Montague family in Verona.
Lord capulet
Father of Juliet protective of her but hates the montagues.
