a reversible reaction is
a reaction that happens both ways
reactants react to form products
products react to form reactants
when the reactants are reacting they get used up this means
the concentration of reactants lowers and forward reaction slows
when products are reacting they get used up this means that
the concentration of them lowers and the backwards reaction slows
eventually both the forwards and backwards reactions will be at same rate they’ve reached
equilibrium
dynamic equilibrium is when
the reaction is still happening but there is no general effect
dynamic equilbrium happens when the concentrations of both
balance out and won`t change
this equilibrium can only happen in a closed system which is where
the reactants and products can`t escape into surroundings but also nothing from surroundings is let in
