Azimuth
The compass direction indicating where an object is located in the sky, measured in degrees clockwise from due north.
Altitude
The angle above the horizon at which an object is located in the sky, ranging from 0° at the horizon to 90° straight up.
Zenith
The point in the sky directly overhead, representing the highest point.
Planet
A celestial body that moves against the background of stars, derived from the ancient Greek word for "wanderer."
Ecliptic
The apparent path in the sky along which the Sun moves, where the planets also travel, as observed from Earth.
Kepler's Laws
Laws proposed by Johannes Kepler to explain planetary motion, suggesting that planets move in elliptical orbits around the Sun.
