This device is used to remove a thin, split-thickness slice of skin from a healthy "donor" area, typically for use in a skin graft to cover a burn or large wound. These come in various types, including knife, drum, and motor-driven models.

This device processes the already harvested skin graft by making a series of staggered cuts, allowing it to be stretched (expanded) to cover a larger wound area than its original size. This "meshing" process is crucial for treating large area burns when donor skin is limited.
